Grants update: Funding opportunities available for affiliates

Softball Victoria invites applications for the many funding opportunities available to help get you back on the diamond during these challenging times.

Below is the latest grant update, which features a new grant from VicHealth – Reimagining Health.

These applications can be completed in a few short, simple steps. SV Development Coordinators, Tim Hatzi (tim.hatzi@softball.org.au) and Danielle Rigg (danielle.rigg@softballvic.org.au) are available to assist with your application process if needed and provide letters of support on request.

SV wishes the best of luck to the 32 Victorian clubs that submitted an application for the #BackonBase Softball Community Club Grant – the second highest amount of applications submitted by one State.


MEMBER INSURANCE NOTICE – Season 2020/21

Softball Victoria can confirm that insurance cover for members will be rolled over on the 1st October and as such will remain in place for the 2020/21 season at the same level as 2019/20.

GRANTS UPDATE

VicHealth Grant: Reimagining Health

Clubs and associations can apply for up to $3,000, $10,000 or $50,000 for projects that support health and wellbeing of Victorians which focus on:

  • Increasing access to healthy and affordable food
  • Finding ways to get people more physically active
  • Building meaningful social connection for those experiencing isolation or loneliness

Applications close on 27 October 2020. It is highly recommended to apply early as applications will begin to be assessed and approved before the closing date.

Community Sport Sector COVID-19 Short-term Survival Program –Stream 2 

Grants of up to $2,000 are available for associations and leagues and grants of up to $1,000 are available for individual clubs. A top-up grant of $1,000 for associations and leagues and $500 for clubs and community sporting and active recreation organisations will be provided automatically to organisations who received a grant through the first funding round of this program – you will not need to re-apply to receive this funding (open until 5pm Friday 16 October 2020)
