Blacktown International Sportspark this week plays host to the 2019 U19 Women’s National Softball Championships.

Under 19 Women’s Game 1: Victoria 3 – WA 6

Victoria took on WA in this morning’s game with a tight tussle for four innings, before WA jumped ahead.

Victoria fought back in the seventh to come back to 6-3 but was unable to come back victorious.

Under 19 Women’s Game 2: Victoria 2 – SA 1

Looking for redemption after the round one clash against SA, Victoria came out fighting in the game, scoring one run early on only to have SA even up the score immediately.

In the top of the seventh inning, solid hitting and good base running saw Victoria score the winning run.

Ir was an all-round fantastic team effort, with a special mention to Santara Zachan and Georgia Reynolds for fantastic pitching, holding SA to only one run.

Jardi Rawhiti-Thompson gets a special mention for her RBI single and pushing runs into scoring position.
