This weekend the Girls and Boys U15 State Teams will both participate in a workshop conducted by Softball Victoria’s Wellbeing and Performance Psychology Partner, The Mind Room.
The workshop will take the athletes through the importance of mindset, and in particular the importance of a growth mindset, when preparing for not only sporting challenges but the challenges of daily life. A growth mindset encourages us to focus on our efforts, embracing challenges, and using failure as a learning opportunity.
Following the session with the athletes, Michael Inglis from The Mind Room will also spend some time with their coaches and parents to ensure that they are in a position to continue to support the athletes as they embark on a future embracing a growth mindset.

As a Softball Victoria partner organisation, The Mind Room is here to assist the entire softball community. If you would like to speak to someone about any aspect of your mental health and wellbeing or to enhance your performances in a sporting environment please contact them on 9495 6261, and Michael and his team are there to help.
