Softball has proven to be a popular sporting activity amongst the kids in Geelong at last week’s Totally Sport School Holiday Program.
Hosted by Leisure Networks and the Geelong Cats at Simonds Stadium in Geelong on April 4, Softball Victoria staff members Jenny Cassidy and Kerrie Laverick ran a fun and engaging softball program aimed at keeping children active over the school holiday period.
As you can see by the photo the kids had a great time playing T-Ball, and for many of the kids it was the first time they have used a glove or hit off a tee. But such was the enthusiasm for the game, you wouldn’t know it by the great hits and fielding by all the kids involved.
Leisure Networks run similar events every school holidays so keep an eye out for their next event in Geelong. Similarly, contact Geelong Softball Association to find out more about T-Ball and Softball programs in the area at firstname.lastname@example.org.
