Thanks to the Department of Education and Training (DET) and the Victorian Olympic Council, applications are now open for special SV members to be recognised through the Pierre de Coubertin Award and Olympic Academy.
The prestigious awards are open to year 10, 11 and 12 students and recognises students who demonstrate values, which are consistent with the Olympic Movement through participation in sporting activities.
One lucky recipient from Softball Victoria will be put forward to receive the Pierre de Coubertin Award while two more students will have the chance to take part in the Academy.
Both awards present incredible opportunities – well worth taking the time to read through the application criteria and sending through an application.
The awards include the opportunity for recipients to:
- Interact with Olympians,
- Tour the National Sports Museum,
- Meet and engage with like-minded students, and
- Learn about the Olympic Movement and A.S.P.I.R.E. (Australian Olympic Team values).
For more information on all of the necessary details and what is required from you in order to apply for this opportunity, click here.
Please read all of the information carefully and if you wish to be considered please ensure that you forward your submission to Simon Blundell at firstname.lastname@example.org by COB Friday 11 May.
All submissions will then be considered by a panel of Softball Victoria staff, with the best three submissions to be forwarded to the Victorian Olympic Council for final consideration.
