International softball was the flavour of the game on Monday night as the Victorian Pandas were treated to a very special softball game against the Northlands School, on tour from Argentina.
Taking place at Jells Park, the match provided both teams with an opportunity to share knowledge, develop skills and even create some new friends.
Jorge Rey, Head of PE and Sporting at the Northlands School said the tour aims to provide students across their nine teams with the opportunity to develop skills and sportsmanship.
“The objective of the tour is to strengthen bonds and develop sporting spirit,” Rey said.
The Northlands School delegation consists of more than 150 Year 10 & 11 students, as well as 14 teachers, with students honing their craft in Australia in rugby, hockey, volleyball or softball.
Thank you to Michelle Panza, Cheryl-Ann Olley and Matt Pukatapu for organising the evening. Head over to the Softball Victoria Facebook page to check out the full gallery from the night.
