Day 2 Nationals – Open Men & U14 Boys

Check out what happened on the second day at the Open Men’s National Championships and U14 Boys Regional Championships.

Open Men – Game 1:  Victoria 10 – SA 3

South Australia started well in the first innings with two runs, but Victoria really fired up in the bottom of the first – scoring eight runs on eight hits.

Victoria scored again in the second innings with a Steve Dawson homerun.

George Psimaris hit a solo homerun in the fourth innings to take the score to 10-3 and with solid pitching from Adam Woon the game was finished in five innings.

It was a very solid team effort with Steve Dawson having two hits including a homerun and Glen Rigg continued his great form with another two hits.

Pitcher Adam Woon was very strong on the pitchers plate to steer the team to a solid win.
